My husband is starting to call me “The Tree Lady” because of my fascination with the trees in our neighborhood and the way I photograph them. We live in a pretty pocket area of North Minneapolis and our home is facing a small park. The street is lined with beautiful older trees that provide a fantastic landscape, especially in the winter months when the limbs are bare.
I have taken to producing some artistic effects on my images and am actually getting enough to (one day) have a show.
Every other year, there is a gallery show at Plymouth Congregational church in Minneapolis. I will be showcase 2 of these tree images this time out.
Ghost Trees is being produced in brush metal, Winter Shadows produced on canvas. Both of these photographs were taken at night. Winter Shadows is lit by the street lamp on the corner. Both are for sale, and the show opening is on April 14th around noon (just after the 2nd service.)
