UPDATE:

Well, I didn’t get chosen for the State Fair, but this work will be displayed through Labor Day at The Hopkins Center for the Arts at their Salon 300 Show.  The opening reception is Saturday, August 22nd from 6-8pm.  Hopkins Center for the Arts is located on Main Street between 10th & 11th in Hopkins, Minnesota.

After this moring’s rehearsal, I drove over to the Minnesota State Fairgrounds and turned in my submission for this year’s Fine Arts division. Now I get to wait for the decision of the judges to see if my piece will be accepted. What do you think?

Photograph was taken this past winter at about 11pm after an evening rehearsal. Temp was about 20 degrees farenheit and was our first cold night of the year. I developed this as a negative which gave it this cool blue effect – the actual piece is then printed on metallic paper which I think best represents the building’s architecture.
